Milmark Painting is in the final stages of painting the Monterey Marketplace II power center in Rancho Mirage. The new center will be the home of Joann Fabric and Crafts and a Plummer's Furniture and Office store.

C.W. Driver, one of California's preeminent commercial builders since 1919, has selected Desert Commercial Concrete to provide concrete services for the company's new 200-unit apartment complex at The Vineyards at Palm Desert on Cook St near the Cal State San Bernardino campus.

The famous Kaufmann House in Palm Springs went to auction at Christie's in New York this month - not as a house, but as a work of art. "The Kaufmann House, a 1946 glass, steel and stone landmark built by the architect Richard Neutra, has twice been at the vanguard of new movements in architecture - helping to shape postwar Modernism and later, as a result of a painstaking restoration in the mid-1990s, spurring a revived interest in mid-20th-century homes," according to the New York Times. Milmark Painting was the painting contractor chosen by the owners throughout the celebrated renovation of this architectural masterpiece.

Milmark Painting has completed a repaint of the Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella. The project included a complete exterior repaint of the massive casino, showroom, and parking structure, as well as the new Jem Steakhouse inside the casino.

Desert Commercial Concrete has contracted with Pulte Homes/Del Webb to provide residential concrete slabs at the Sun City Shadow Hills master-planned community in Indio. DCC has a long history with Pulte/Del Webb, having done the slab work for virtually all of the 5,000 homes at Sun City Palm Desert between 1992 and 2004. At Sun City Shadow Hills, DCC previously provided slabs for the community's entire Phase I (1,158 homes). More than 300 lots remain in the community's Phase II, and there are another 946 lots approved for Phase III.
